NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING FOR A PROPOSED CHARTER SCHOOL
NOTICE is hereby given that the Mississippi Charter School Authorizer Board will hold a public hearing on Monday, August 14, 2017, at 6:00 p.m. at The City of Truth Church located at 600 Yazoo Avenue, Clarksdale, MS 38614. The purpose of this public hearing is to receive public comments on a proposed application to operate a charter school in the boundaries of the Clarksdale Municipal School District. The proposed application has been filed by Clarksdale Collegiate, Inc. to operate one charter school named Clarksdale Collegiate Public Charter School, serving grades K-8 (at capacity). This public hearing will be held for the specific purposes of affording the public the opportunity to hear from the charter applicant and allowing the public to offer any comments about the proposed school.
The proposed application can be reviewed at www.charterschoolboard.ms.gov. Written comments may be mailed care of the Mississippi Charter School Authorizer Board, 239 N. Lamar Street, Suite 207, Jackson, MS 39201 or e-mailed to charterschools@mississippi.edu. Written comments received by the Mississippi Charter School Authorizer Board prior to the public hearing date shall become part of the public hearing record.
